What is the Difference?

Granite:

  • Granite, a naturally occurring stone, is extracted from the earth's quarries and sliced into slabs. It boasts exceptional durability, being highly resistant to scratches, and stains, and is the most used stone in homes, however it does require sealing.

Quartz:

  • Quartz, a man-made stone, is produced by combining natural quartz with resin and slicing it. It is renowned for its resilience and ability to withstand heat, scratches, and stains. Unlike granite, it does not necessitate sealing, rendering it a hassle-free choice.

Quartzite:

  • Quartzite is a natural stone sourced from quarries and sliced into slabs. Frequently utilized as a substitute for marble, it offers a similar appearance but is more resilient (although not as robust as granite and quartz).

This stone is less readily available and may entail longer lead times.

Marble:

  • Marble, a natural stone, is sliced into slabs, offering a sophisticated and lavish look. It is frequently employed in top-tier kitchen designs.

Note, marble is relatively delicate and susceptible to scratches and staining, it lacks heat resistance and has a limited range of selection. Regular maintenance and sealing are required.
